How I was a medium before I knew what a medium was

I made an Instagram carousel last week to commemorate the life of my friend Charlotte Caron, who I met on Craigslist in 2017 and photographed until she died in 2019.

It’s been five years since her death, and I’ve been able to revisit all the work I made of Charlotte during our short two years as friends and collaborators.

When we met, neither of us knew she had cancer (though I certainly wonder if we knew death was near, on a subconscious level). By the time the illness was discovered, it was in its far-advanced stages.

Our adventures through Hollywood turned into struggles at several medical centers around Los Angeles.

I plan to write a lot about Charlotte sometime in the future, but for now I just feel compelled to share more photos from her life… because she came to me in a dream last night and advised me to do so!

Charlotte loved to be witnessed, and I love to be a witness. In a lot of ways, she allowed me to witness what it’s like to experience both life and death. And for that I’m forever grateful. It 100% set the tone for the shift my career took from documentary photography into psychic mediumship.

Charlotte poses for a photo with her beloved Mercedes C300, which she used to Uber and give tours of the city via Craig’s List.

Charlotte photographed at age 17, “when she was still a virgin”. Lol.

This project has never been properly shown or published anywhere, and this work is really only scratching the surface. Have an idea for what I can do with it? A publisher? A gallery connect? Some place where Charlotte’s legacy will be appreciated? Email me: info@sunlightoracle.com with subject line CHARLOTTE.
